Richard Kelly is an experienced designer with over 14 years in the furniture and design industry. Growing up alongside his mother, a talented interior designer, Richard developed a passion for transforming spaces from a young age. His career includes owning a boutique furniture store, serving as a buyer for a prominent retailer with locations across the eastern U.S., and working as both a visual merchandiser and interior designer with high-end retailers and private clients.

A graduate in studio art, Richard excels at space planning, color coordination, and blending textures. He’s known for creating designs that are not only visually striking but also deeply functional. Richard draws much of his inspiration from the natural world, finding beauty in the colors, textures, and patterns that nature provides, which he incorporates into his work to bring harmony and balance to every space.

Currently, Richard brings his expertise and artistic vision to Billie Arthur Design Studio, where he continues to craft timeless, inspiring environments that reflect both elegance and practicality.

Marylisa Crissman

Marylisa Crissman is a creative entrepreneur and passionate homemaker based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After relocating from Chicago with her husband, Blaine, she embraced a slower, more intentional lifestyle rooted in community and creativity. Together, they transformed their 1920s Craftsman home into a warm, eclectic space that reflects their love for vintage design, DIY projects, and sustainable living. Marylisa’s approach blends modern sensibilities with nostalgic charm, creating a home that is both functional and full of character.

Whether she’s sourcing one-of-a-kind vintage accents or envisioning an entire home layout, Marylisa brings warmth, intention, and creativity to everything she touches. Her work is a celebration of individuality, storytelling, and the beauty of home.

Charlotte Ammermann

As the Design Concierge at Billie Arthur Design Studio, Charlotte is the first point of connection in the studio’s elevated experience. With a background in the service industry and a natural eye for aesthetics, she brings warmth, attentiveness, and a thoughtful energy to every interaction. Whether welcoming guests, coordinating appointments, or preparing designer workspaces, Charlotte ensures the studio runs with a sense of ease and intention.

Passionate about interior design herself, she finds inspiration in midcentury forms and subtle, understated color palettes. Supporting the design team and assisting with vendor samples and presentations allows her to stay closely involved in the creative process while she continues to grow in the field. Outside the studio, Charlotte enjoys sewing and staying up to date on fashion trends—always drawn to the quiet details that make something truly special.
